چکیده

Background: Increased vascular smooth muscle cell motility results in neointimal formation. Results: CaMKII2 and Fyn physically interact and CaMKII2 activity regulates complex formation, Fyn activity, and motility. Conclusion: CaMKII2 and Fyn regulate VSM cell motility due to their physical and functional interaction. Significance: Coupling CaMKII2 and Fyn in VSM provides a defined mechanism for increases in intracellular calcium to activate tyrosine kinases required for cell motility.

Intracellular signaling is changed after clustering of the neural cell adhesion molecules axonin-1 and NgCAM during neurite fasciculation

Neural cell adhesion molecules of the immunoglobulin/fibronectin type III family on axons have been implicated in promotion of neurite outgrowth, fasciculation, and the mediation of specific cell adhesion. The present study demonstrates that two of these molecules on dorsal root ganglion neurons are associated with distinct protein kinases, axonin-1 with the src-related nonreceptor tyrosine kin...

The Src-family kinase, Fyn, regulates the activation of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase in an interleukin 2-responsive T cell line

The proliferation of antigen-activated T cells is mediated by the T cell-derived growth factor, interleukin 2 (IL-2). The biochemical signaling cascades initiating IL-2-induced growth are dependent upon protein tyrosine kinase (PTK) activity. One IL-2-regulated PTK implicated in this cascade is the Src-family kinase, Fyn. Previous studies have described a physical association between Fyn and a ...

The Src-Family Kinase, Fyn, Regulates the Activation of Phosphatidyllnositol 3-Kinase in an Interleukin 2-responsive T Cell Line

The proliferation of antigen-activated T cells is mediated by the T cell-derived growth factor, interleukin 2 (IL-2). The biochemical signaling cascades initiating IL-2-induced growth are dependent upon protein ryrosine kinase (FFK) activity. One IL-2-regulated FTK implicated in this cascade is the Src-family kinase, Fyn. Previous studies have described a physical association between Fyn and a ...

P22: The Association between TrkB Signaling Pathway and NMDARs in LTP Induction

Long-term potentiation (LTP) is a biological process of learning and memory after a high-frequency train of electrical stimulations. By binding of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) to Tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrKB) receptors in postsynaptic neurons, tyrosine kinase Fyn is bound to these receptors and hereby plays a mediating role to binding and activation of N-methyl-D-aspartic aci...

Sites and molecular mechanisms of modulation of Na(v)1.2 channels by Fyn tyrosine kinase.

Voltage-gated sodium channels are important targets for modulation of electrical excitability by neurotransmitters and neurotrophins acting through protein phosphorylation. Fast inactivation of Na(V)1.2 channels is regulated via tyrosine phosphorylation by Fyn kinase and dephosphorylation by receptor phosphoprotein tyrosine phosphatase-beta, which are associated in a signaling complex. Here we ...
